La sfârșitul lui Februarie intenționasem să vă scriu un articol despre cum să faci fotografii reușite ”în/pe/cu zăpadă”. Dar mă gândeam.. deja vine primăvara, parcă nu își mai are locul. Apoi un episod neașteptat de iarnă a venit în Anglia. Natura le-a arătat englezilor fulgii de nea de care uitaseră cum arată. Am profitat și eu și am scos aparatul la răcoare, uimind obiectivele foto de albul din fața lor. În România iarna a lovit de și mai multe ori și.. iată-mă azi, într-o zi calendaristică și chiar astrologică autentică de  primăvară, privind troienele de zăpadă de pe acoperișuri și din curte, făcându-mi curaj să scriu și articolul ăsta. Că deh, dacă se va topi neaua, poți să-i pui un bookmark și să revii la el sezonul următor.

Așadar, cum facem cele mai reușite fotografii în zăpadă?

În primul rând, echipează-te corespunzător. Haine impermeabile, încălțăminte rezistentă, căciulă, fular, mănuși fără degete, căci cu siguranță device-ul va avea nevoie de setări speciale pe parcursul ședinței foto. Iată câteva trucuri și sfaturi pe care le-am învățat și eu din prima mea ședință foto realizată în zăpadă:

• Focusează pe contrast. Focalizarea automată e cam greu de realizat când totul este alb. Încearcă să focalizezi pe ceva mai întunecat: o creangă ieșită de sub nea, un animal zburdând prin zăpadă, o scoarță de copac scăpată de sub pătura albă. Un truc ar fi să apeși butonul de declanșare pe jumătate: dacă nu se focusează, mută pe un punct și mai întunecat și încearcă din nou.
• Setările: evident, folosește formatul RAW. Folosește matricea de evaluare. Dacă e prea soare, poți încerca Spot sau Partial. Setează expunerea la +1 sau +2. Asta va ajuta la păstrarea nuanței albe a zăpezii. A-ul va permite să schimbi repede profunzimea câmpului. Astfel ISO și viteza de declanșare se vor regla automat, în funcție de A-ul ales.
• Alege să faci ședința foto atunci când zăpada este neatinsă, proaspăt căzută. Va avea un aspect mult mai natural.
• Păstrează bateriile la căldură. Dacă vremea e rece, bateria se va descărca mai rapid. Ține una de siguranță în buzunar, la căldură.
• La fel ca bateriile, trebuie să ai grijă și de aparat. Tranziția de la cald la rece poate provoca condens, iar aparatul poate fi afectat. Ține-l în geantă atunci când nu îl folosești, iar după ce l-ai folosit pune-l într-o pungă de plastic cu închidere, astfel se va evita umezirea.
• Ideea e să te joci. Peisajele pot fi de basm, dacă ai curaj să te aventurezi, poate pe un deal, de unde să prinzi întregul oraș acoperit de plapuma albă.
• Copacii încărcați de omăt pot fi de asemenea un real spectacol.
• La fel și animalele jucându-se în zăpadă, sau copiii alergând, bulgărindu-se.
• Prinde un bokeh spectaculos, mai ales într-o zi însorită. Folosește o apretură mică f3/f5 , găsește un subiect luminat în spate de soare, ca o creangă de copac acoperită de zăpadă, sau niște țurțuri de sticlă în care se reflectă razele soarelui.
• Ai răbdare, joacă-te , bucură-te și tu de spectacolul naturii.

At the end of February, I was planning to write an article on how to make good "in / on / snow" photos. But I was thinking ... it's coming, it's gone. Then an unexpected winter episode came to England. Nature showed the British the lightning of who forgot how it looks. I took advantage of it, and I took the camera out, amazeding the lens by the white targets in front of them. In Romania, here it came several times ... and today, on a calendar and even true astrology spring day, looking at the snow-scenery on the roof and in the yard, making it courageous to write this articleAnd if the snow melts you can put a bookmark on this article and come back in the next season.

So, how do you make the best shots in the snow?

Firstly, equip yourself properly. Waterproof clothing, durable footwear,, scarf, gloves without beard, for device safety will need special settings during the photo session. There are a few tricks and tips I learned from my first photo session in the snow:

• Focuses on contrast. Autofocus is hard to do when everything is white. Try to focus on something darker: a branch out from under it, an animal flying through the snow, a grain of tree dropped out of the blue. One trick would be to press the shutter-release button halfway: if it does not focus, go to an even darker point and try again.

• Settings: obviously, uses RAW format. Uses the evaluation matrix. If it's too sunny, you can try Spot or Partial. Set exposure +1 or +2. This will help keep the shade, whether it's snow. The A will quickly allow the depth of the field to change. Thus, the shutter speed will be adjusted automatically, depending on the chosen one.

• Choose to take pictures when the snow is fresh. It will look much more natural.

• Keep the batteries warm. If the weather is cold, the battery will discharge faster. Keep a safe one in your pocket, in warmth.

• Like batteries, you should also be careful with the camera. Transition from hot to cold can cause condensation and the device may be affected. Keep it in your bag when you are not using it, and after using it put it in a  zip plastic bag, to avoid condensation.

• The idea is to play. Landscapes can be expresive, if you have the courage to venture out, perhaps on a hill, where you can catch the whole city covered with white blanket.

• Trees filled with snow can also be real shows.

• So are animals playing in the snow, or children running, bulging.

• Gets a bokeh show, especially on a sunny day. Use a small f3 / f5, find a sunlit subject behind a sunken tree, or a glass lining in which the sun's rays are reflected.

• Be patient, play yourself, enjoy the spectacle of nature.
